Statements of former apprentices and interns

I started my apprenticeship with spring in autumn 2003. It was my first experience with the organization of trade exhibitions, but within the first weeks I realized, how fascinating and wide this topic may be.
During two and a half years of education I was entrusted with various tasks like formulation of business letters, creation of different advertising materials, design of websites, planning of exhibition halls, customer services and other interesting jobs.
The feeling to see the result of one’s work of a year exceeds all expectations and is pure motivation. Further on, it is fun to work with colleagues supporting each other in such a competent, cooperative and committed team which you may count on. I am proud that I made by apprenticeship with spring. Now, as project assistant for the trade show “Personal Moscow”, I am glad to pass my experience and know-how to new colleagues.

During my apprenticeship at Spring I was able to gather lots of experience regarding the organization of exhibitions. I was integrated in all tasks before, during and after the exhibition. From acquisition of new clients, hotel bookings as well the creation of advertising material, the processing and maintenance of our websites, issuing of cooperation contracts up to the self-contained planning and implementation of an evening event I gained valuable know-how.

Each day brought new challenges, support and encouragement. But the thing I liked most during my apprenticeship was the incomparable team. The thorough enjoyment of work made me surpass myself from day to day.

Currently I am working for Spring as project assistant for our two German exhibitions for human resource management and I am still impressed by our international, dynamic and dedicated team.

My personal result: an apprenticeship with spring is highly recommendable!

My 6-month internship at Spring during my studies gave me valuable insights into the event management field. I got to know the different stages of the organisation of an exhibition project, and could actively contribute to their implementation. What I liked most was that the tasks that I was assigned were varied and interesting. My internship involved telephone customer service and assistance for the preparation of advertising material. I also travelled abroad to attend competitor exhibitions and helped in different organisational tasks before, during and after each project. During my visits of the two exhibitions „Personal Swiss“ and „Swiss Professional Learning” in Zurich, I could see the outcome and direct impact of the work we had been doing in the run-up of the exhibition. My strong organisational skills and a good team spirit helped me a lot at work. Furthermore, the internship in a German-speaking country improved my foreign language skills a lot. I am convinced that this work experience in the field of project management will help me greatly in the future.

This was an interesting practical training to gain a comprehensive insight into exhibition organization within the HR sector. During my work experience amongst square meters I was able to better my computer skills and proof-reading competence considerably.
Also my language skills were requested every day, e.g. for the making of different advertising material or the updating of the websites.
The visit of the Salon RH in Geneva was the icing on the cake of my 6 months practical training with the international Spring Team.
Summary: a work experience to recommend!

During my intership at spring I gained a lot of interesting and valuable experience. From the first day I became completely integrated into the project team. An easy integration into all procedures was possible by means of the colleagues from the first day.

Direct responsibility was given to me correspondingly fast.
Especially the international orientation of my tasks was very interesting and challenging.
A clear target definition was also very comfortable and also the fact of enough free space for their achievement. For any questions, help or support my contact persons and colleagues were reachable at any time.

Explicit highlight was the realization of the exhibition. You are right in the middle of the action and permanently responsable for the smooth course of the event!

I would also like to point out especially the frank and cooperative working atmosphere within a young and international company. Several team and company events assured also after work a good and motivating work climate.

Altogether, the mix of challenging tasks and exciting teamwork made my internship an exciting time I am glad to remember.
A lot of the things I learned and experienced will be a great benefit for my future.
